Over the next four years we will invest more than $41.5 billion in transport infrastructure, improving our networks, and increasing transport capacity.
During the next 40 years, we will spend hundreds of billions on transport and we want to take advantage of new technologies and improve business and service delivery models.
To ensure our plans for the future are informed, adaptable and effective, we need to collaborate with a broad range of businesses, experts and community groups.
Industry and governments all over the world are responding to predicted megatrends.
We are interested in hearing how you think business can work with us to address the challenges and develop systems to meet the needs of communities.
We want to make it easy for you to get involved and provide feedback.
Your feedback will be collated, analysed and will influence the draft Future Transport Strategy, and the draft metropolitan and regional Service and Infrastructure plans. These will be exhibited later in the year for your feedback.
Over the coming months, we will be meeting, briefing and listening to businesses around the state.
This is the start of a conversation with the community and businesses. We will be updating this website with articles and information to stimulate discussions.
You can easily get involved by answering a series of questions at our online survey.
Transport, infrastructure, and land use planning
We are working with all the key government agencies to ensure transport is aligned with and supporting the major strategies for land use, infrastructure, and services for regional NSW and metropolitan Sydney.
Our partnership with the Greater Sydney Commission, Infrastructure NSW and Department of Planning and Environment means that we are integrating transport and land use planning to shape more livable local areas and cities, plus provide safer, easier and more comfortable journeys.
We are interested in hearing from the community and business on how we can better move people and freight efficiently, and support the development of places along designated growth corridors.
Staff in our agencies and private operators such as Roads and Maritime Services (RMS), NSW TrainLink, Sydney Trains, Harbour City Ferries, State Transit Buses and private bus operators across the State, serve our transport customers and work with business in our many partnerships.
