The Central West and Orana region is predicted to grow by an additional 20,000 people by 2041. It’s time to look at managing the transport network differently to realise the community vision for the region and ensure transport can support growth in a sustainable way.
In 2018, the NSW Government released Future Transport 2056: a long-term plan for transport in NSW. This draft Transport Plan outlines what this means for Central West and Orana over the next 20 years.
The development of the Plan has been guided by formal engagement and workshops with key stakeholders from all 19 councils across the Central West and Orana, relevant state agencies and both the Central NSW and Orana Joint Organisations of Councils.
Thank you for your feedback
Transport for NSW would like to thank everyone who took the time to consider the draft Plan and provide feedback.
The feedback and submissions received will provide valuable input into the development of the final Plan.
Transport for NSW will update the Regional Transport Plan every five years to ensure that the transport vision and initiatives continue to respond to growth and the changing needs of the region.
