The South East Sydney Transport Strategy identifies the preferred future transport network for South East Sydney, along with providing a series of initiatives to realise the vision.
South East Sydney extends from Central to La Perouse. It includes Sydney Airport and Port Botany international gateways and is one of the city’s most unique and vital regions.
State and local governments predict the population and employment opportunities in this area will grow significantly over the next 40 years.
We plan to invest significantly in public transport and to change travel behaviour to reduce the use of the private cars in the area. This strategy will ensure our current and future customers have more sustainable travel options.
Transport for NSW created the South East Sydney Transport Strategy in close partnership with stakeholders from local government, State Government Agencies, UNSW, Sydney Airport and NSW Ports.
It builds on Future Transport 2056 and the Greater Sydney Services and Infrastructure Plan.
